IGCSE Physics Tutoring FAQs

Clear answers about how the online lessons work, who teaches them, what they cost, and how the paid trial fits in. If your question is not here, send it to us on WhatsApp.

The tutoring service

How does the online IGCSE Physics tutoring work?
We match your child with a Cambridge 0625 specialist from a small, founder-vetted teaching team. Lessons are one to one and fully online over a shared whiteboard, so the tutor sees every line of working and gives feedback as the student writes.
Who actually teaches the lessons?
Your child's lessons are taught by an assigned tutor from our vetted Physics teaching team. Our founder Rig vets the tutors and a named subject adviser reviews the learning resources. Rig is a Mathematics educator and does not teach the Physics students.
Is the service available across Malaysia?
Yes. Every lesson is online, so students anywhere in Malaysia with an internet connection can join. There is no physical tuition centre, and the same tutors and pricing apply wherever your child is based.

Lessons and format

How long is each IGCSE Physics lesson?
Regular lessons normally last 1.5 hours. The first session is a paid one-hour taught trial at the assigned tutor's normal rate, so you can judge the working relationship before committing to weekly lessons.
What happens in a typical lesson?
The tutor reviews recent work or targets a chosen topic, explains the concept, guides practice on exam-style questions, then sets a few questions for the week. Everything is worked on the shared whiteboard so the reasoning is visible.
What equipment does my child need for online lessons?
A laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection, and ideally a pen tablet or a phone camera to share written working. The tutor provides the shared whiteboard and all lesson materials.

Pricing and the paid trial

How much does IGCSE Physics tuition cost in Malaysia?
The assigned tutor's rate is RM80 to RM90 per hour, depending on their experience. A 1.5-hour lesson therefore costs RM120 to RM135. The exact rate is confirmed before any booking.
Is the trial lesson free?
No. The first session is a paid one-hour taught trial at the tutor's normal hourly rate. It is a real teaching session rather than a sales call, and no package is required afterwards.
Do I have to commit to a package?
No. There is no package requirement. After the paid trial you decide whether weekly lessons are useful, and you can adjust or pause the schedule as your child's needs change.

Exam and syllabus

Which syllabus do you follow?
We follow the current Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625 syllabus for 2026 to 2028, covering the Core and Supplement (Extended) content and the practical papers.
Can you help with both Core and Extended?
Yes. Tutors support both the Core and Extended routes. If you are unsure which tier suits your child, our guide on choosing Core or Extended works through the decision using marked evidence.
Do you prepare students for the practical papers?
Yes. Lessons cover Paper 5 and Paper 6 skills such as measurement, tables, graphs, variables and evaluation. The free practical-skills guides on this site support the same work between lessons.
Can private candidates use the service?
Yes. Private candidates often need the structure a school normally provides. Tutors help plan syllabus coverage, provide marked feedback and prepare for the practical component used by the examination centre.
