The SI unit of pressure, equal to one newton per square metre.

The pascal is defined as:

$1\text{ Pa} = \frac{1\text{ N}}{1\text{ m}^2}$

One pascal is a very small pressure. Common multiples: 1 kPa = 1000 Pa; 1 MPa = $10^6$ Pa.

Standard atmospheric pressure is approximately 101 325 Pa ( $\approx 100$ kPa or 1 atm).
