What is IGCSE Physics demand like around Tawau?
Tawau is a port town in south-east Sabah near the Indonesian border.
Students around Tawau study Cambridge IGCSE in international and private schools across Sabah, or sit it as private candidates.
What is the wider Sabah picture?
Sabah, on the island of Borneo with Kota Kinabalu as its capital, is far from the Peninsular tutoring centres. Fully online lessons let its students learn with the same Cambridge Physics tutors as families in the Klang Valley. Tawau is one of 12 places in Sabah where tutors on our bench can be based.
Why tutor online from Tawau?
An online bench means a tutor in Tawau can teach a student in Kuching on Monday and one in Johor Bahru on Tuesday. We would rather send you two students who fit than five who do not. Fit is what keeps families, and tutors, for the long run.
Where do students near Tawau sit the exam?
Private candidates usually register through an authorised Cambridge school in Sabah, as the dedicated British Council examination centres are in Peninsular Malaysia. If you tutor private candidates, knowing this helps you plan their Paper 1 or 3, Paper 2 or 4, and Paper 5 or 6 preparation.
What will you teach?
You teach Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625, one to one, in 1.5-hour online lessons. Most sessions mix content with exam technique: calculation method, graph work, extended answers and practical skills. The full syllabus is mapped in our topic library.
Tutors near Tawau are equally welcome from Kinabatangan, Kota Kinabalu, Kudat, Lahad Datu and Papar.
